Functional Fitness

This is the exact program that CrossFit Mayhem Cookeville has followed for years! We follow 3 weeks behind to improve the workouts even more to give you the best experience when working out at HGFIT.

The Program follows the original philosophy "constantly varied functional movements executed at high intensity across broad time and modal domains" and it aims to improve the overall fitness of its participants by increasing their work capacity

Olympic Weightlifting

Looking to improve your weightlifting skills? Our Oly Classes might be just what you need!

 

Our British Weightlifting Coach James designs 6-8 week training blocks that focuses on the skills needed to be proficient in both the Snatch and the Clean & Jerk.

 

The aim is to help you build your confidence with barbells, which can be intimidating in fast-paced functional fitness classes

Strength & Power

Our Strength and Power classes are led by Power Athlete Certified Coach, Matty and designed to compliment our other Functional Fitness classes. 

Combining traditional strength training with functional bodybuilding, these sessions are designed to make you lean, able and more athletic and are perfect If you are newer to weight training, returning from an injury or an individual who has more strength or aesthetic oriented goals.

The HYROX classes at HGFIT will be designed to help you take you from your very first competition all the way to being a competitive athlete at a global HYROX event. We will help you with pacing, stamina, and strength;  all key parts to the 8km of running and 8 functional workout stations.

 

HYROX bills its self as "The World Series of Fitness Racing" and "A sport for Everybody"

Grunt work

Our Grunt classes are programmed by Coach James

Grunt classes are perfect for those looking to build their aerobic capacity. These workouts are designed to be longer in duration and have a team element to keep them fun and engaging.

Legends

Our “Legends” program is led by Senior Fitness Specialist, Coach Matty, and is designed to enhance strength, mobility, balance, and cardiovascular health for those who are 60+ years young. 

Each session is designed to make fitness truly functional by replicating movements you would perform in everyday life. 
Our Legends lift, carry, push and pull promoting an independent, active and healthy lifestyle. 

Adaptable to all fitness levels we emphasise proper form, injury prevention and creating a fun and supportive environment where it really is never too late to start your health and fitness journey.

In town for work or just passing by and want to hit the gym or jump on a class we have just the thing.

 

£15 per drop-in. Can be used on any class or open gym session. 

We proudly offer a 10% discount on all memberships (excluding drop-ins) to military servicemen and women, firefighters, police officers, NHS employees, and students!
