Is Functional Fitness for me?
Functional Fitness is perfect for anyone who is looking at getting into fitness, or someone who already trains regularly. Our members' fitness, physical ability, age, and experience all range greatly, and we pride ourselves on being able to cater to each individual. Our class sizes are kept small, so there is plenty of opportunities to get 1-on-1 help and direction from our coaches.

How do I sign up?
Go to the pricing and plans page, from there you can select which membership you wish to start. You can also sign up for your free trial here. Click 'Buy', you will then be taken to a new webpage where you will need to fill out your information.
Once you have done so, you will be able to log into Wodify, where you can book classes and open gym.

Which membership should I buy?
If you are new to Functional Fitness, general weight lifting or gyms we recommend you start with the 'On Ramp' membership. This membership allows you 1-on-1 time with a coach to bring you up to speed on techniques, terminology and how to work out safely, effectively and confidently.
If you're unsure whether you can commit to the gym multiple days a week, we recommend our Limited Membership option.
If you are looking to attend the gym 3+ days a week, then we recommend the 'Unlimited' membership for best value for money.

How do I track my performance?
HG FIT uses a world-leading performance tracking software, Wodify. Wodify includes:
App for booking classes
Email notification and google calendar integration
Metric tracking for tracking progression
Booking of other appointments eg. sports massage therapy +
What is a Mayhem Programming?
We follow Mayhem affiliate programming. Mayhem programming has been created by Rich Froning, who is a 10 x CrossFit Games champion.
It has been created with a mix of functional fitness, Olympic weight lifting, and cardio-based (endurance) style workouts. The program offers tiered workout options, so there is always a workout to suit your abilities.
Can I come to HG FIT if I've never worked out/never been to a gym before?
We have a range of abilities at HG FIT and can proudly say we fully support members whether they are brand new to the gym, or fitness fanatics.
We understand that joining a gym can be intimidating, this is why we have created the 'On Ramp' membership. This gives you 4x 1-on-1 sessions with a coach, where you will be taught the fundamentals so you can hit the ground running. If you and your friend are joining at the same time, you can do these 1-on-1 sessions together!
You will also have 4x free sessions to use on any of the classes or the open gym to practise your new moves.
All workouts can be adjusted and modified to suit your abilities. At the beginning of each class, your coach will cover the scaled (adjusted) moves.
If you have any worries, doubts or questions, do not hesitate to speak to a coach.
Can I bring my dog with me?
Dogs are welcome at HG FIT, and we love having them here! There are just a couple of rules you and your furry friends need to abide by before attending!
Dogs must be leashed at all times.
Dogs cannot be aggressive to people or other dogs.
Dogs must poop and/or pee before they enter the gym.
Owners must clean up all accidents.
Dogs must behave—no howling or barking during class.
Dogs must be monitored for jumping, nipping, aggressiveness, etc.
Dogs that bite or nip will not be allowed back.
Dogs that jump up or scratch will not be allowed back.
Do you offer personal training?
Yes! We offer a variety of personal training options depending on your needs.
Whether you're looking to lose weight, perfect a specific skill set, or generally increase your fitness we can offer tailor-made, bespoke programming to help you reach your goals.
Can I get personally trained and not be a member of HGFIT?
Yes. You do not need to be a member of the gym to receive personal training.
If you do not wish to attend classes, you can still be personally trained by one of our qualified coaches. If you wish to attend classes and receive personal training, your coach will work with you to integrate classes with your training schedule so you can make the most out of HGFIT.
How much does personal training cost?
1 session of personal training costs £35.
You can buy a bulk of 10 sessions for a discounted price of £315. These sessions are non-refundable.

Can I freeze my membership?
Should you need to put a membership on freeze for medical reasons, military reasons, or temporary job transfer, please let us know 30 days before the date you need it paused. We do not have a membership freeze policy for any other reason.
How do I cancel my membership?
To cancel please email us with at least 30 days' notice. Please ensure you email HG FIT for written confirmation. Without this, your membership may not be cancelled. Please remember partial months are not permitted. If a member cancels on or after the 2nd of any month, then full payment will still be due the following month on the 1st.
